Year 4 I am so jealous that you have been learning about Spain, I love Spain!

I go to Spain quite often to a little town called Guardarma Del Segura (about twenty minutes away from Alicante airport) have any of you heard of it?. It is a lovely little Spanish town with a beautiful beach. Not very many English people go there so the town is still very ‘spanish’, the locals do not speak much English so I have to try my best to speak as much Spanish as possible. Do any of you speak Spanish?

In July there is a very large festival called ‘The Moors and The Christians’. Have you heard of it? Tens of thousands of people dress up in very special costumes and parade through the streets. The town where we go has a very beautiful church and it is always at the centre of the festivals (fiestas). I have some great photographs of the Easter parades. I will dig them out to show you.

    Adios amigos!
