Autumn 1 The Ancient Mayans

Welcome to Year 6.

During the next few weeks we will be learning about the ancient Mayans in our project lessons. I wonder if you know any facts about this particular civilisation already. If you do, please share your knowledge in this blog. If this is a completely new area of learning for you, study the images below and see if you can start to gain an insight into the daily lives and beliefs of the Mayan people.

We will be learning about the circulatory system so that we are able to understand more about the function of a human heart and blood vessels. We will also be finding out how nutrients and water are transported round the human body. In addition, we will be discussing the impact of exercise, lifestyle and diet on the way our bodies function.
