Be Kind

November 21st, 2017 | Posted by Mrs Ashton in Pupil Posts | Year 4 Archive

As part of anti bullying week 2017 we completed lots of activities linked to anti bullying and also spent a lot of time thinking about how we can be kind. We engaged in discussions about bullying, thought about things that were right and wrong, and decided how we should act in different situations.

One of the activities we did in year 4 was to write secret messages of kindness to each other, we did this everyday and then on Friday we all opened an envelope full of the kind messages. It was such a lovely activity and promoted such a feeling of happiness in our classroom.

Year 4 how did this activity make you feel?

I liked the activity because if you have had a bad day it makes you feel better because it is like opening a pot of joy.

For anti-bullying we were writing about how to be kind. Here are some simple things.
The least you can do is smile.
If someone is not in the mood, just say “hi or hello”
    Don’t answer back.
If someone gives you something say thank you.
If someone needs help, help them.
If someone has no one to play with, play with them.

In school we were learning about anti bullying. We each wrote nice things about each other and then the teachers put them in our own personal envelopes. When we were opening them it felt like we were opening a box of happiness. If you see someone on the playground by there self then you should atleast go and give them a smile or you could just start playing with them as well.TRY TO BE KIND!!!
