Setting descriptions- Pompeii

December 8th, 2017 | Posted by Mrs Ashton in Year 3 Archive

This week you have been learning how to write a setting description linked to a book called Escape from Pompeii.

Can you tell me a little bit about the book and then write a setting description linked to Pompeii? I am looking forward to reading lots of exciting vocabulary, similes and expanded noun phrases in your writing.

Mrs ashton I love reading escape from Pompeii. In the book there are two children in the story tranio and livia. On the houses where cracked plaster is holding it up. When there was a earth quake tranio ran to livias house as quickly as he possibly can.

Tranio was a boy.He lived in a beautiful, busy city called Pompeii.Tranio listened to the shops and resturants.Beyond the city walls he could see Pompeii’s greatest protecter looming in the distance. It was Mount Vesuvius .
