Summer 2 – Eureka

This half term we are going to become scientists. We will be learning all about plants, their parts and the functions of all those parts. We will also be learning about animals, their classifications and life cycles. If that’s not enough, we will also be looking at light, forces and magnetism!

Can you find out any interesting facts about any of the topics above? Add them to the class blog to share with others.

From the age of 7 Albert Einstein started loving mathematics and science. He loved geometry and algebra, nobody taught him these subjects, he did it all by himself.

  • Thomas says:

There are four parts on a flower.Roots go into the soil and they soak the water up to feed the plant, they also hold the plant in.The stem is attached to the petals, roots and leaves. The leaves hang from the stem. The flower stands on top of the stem.Plants need water and sunlight to live and grow.

Magmatism is a class of physical phenomena that are mediated by magnetic fields

  • Joe says:

I love learning about science it is so fun and if we don’t have plants, leaves, trees and air we would be dead by now so everyone needs to be thankful for God to give us those things so everyone in the world be thankful for others, don’t hurt anyone.

Stephen hawking was a realy famous man on the 14 March he passed away age 76. Stephen hawking full name is Stephen William hawking. He was born 8 January 1942 Stephen hawking could only move a slittly bit of his body he used his computer he was born in Oxford

  • Macie says:

Plants are living organisms that cover much of the land of earth. You see them everywhere. They include grass, trees, flowers, bushes, ferns, mosses and more.Plants are members of the kingdom planet

Stephen hawking was a realy famous scientist and was born 8 th January 1942 14 th March 2018. On 14 March Stephen hawking passed away age 76

Micheal Faraday’s father ( Who was over weighed) was a black smith before marriage Mr Faraday (Micheal Faraday’s father) His future wife was a servent

  • Thomas says:

This is the life cycle of a frog.
First the frog starts as frogspawn.Frogspawn is lots of fog eggs together.Frogspawn looks like eyes. After the frogspawn hatches a tadpole comes out. After a few weeks the tadpole gets two front legs and then another few weeks it will get another two legs.It is now a froglet. Now it’s body just needs to grow and then it’s a frog.
    Bonus Fact
    Magnetism is an invisible force.

  • Andrew says:

Stephan hawking is 84 years old he is disabled and still alive present he can only do little movements he has discovered lots of scientist things he is one of the best scintests in the present world he is an English scintest he use is a automatic screen to help him do things he uses a wheelchair to get around the laboratory.

There are 2 sides to a magnet north and south.
Arownd the poles is caled a magnetic felled

Animals aremultice llular eutaryotic organisms that from the biological kind Dom animalia.

  • Annie says:

Magnerts have two sides to it the south pole and the north pole. If a north side and a north side it repeal this happens because of the magnetic force this is invabel.

  • Isobel says:

There is four parts of a flower. The roots, the stem, the leaves and the actual flower head. The job of a root is to stand the plant up straight. The job of the stem is to bring the water to anywhere the plant needs it. The job of the leaves is to get all of the water and nutrience on the flower and the last thing is the flower head. Their job is to attract bee’s to the flower (so it has to be bright). Bee’s are very important because if bee’s became extincted we wold only have 4-5 years to live.

  • Poppy says:

He started Making difficult Projects in his laboratory. He built a electric Bartley using copper coins and zinc discs. His grades and scores went up and up each lesson

Magnetic feilds by there selves are invisble to a humans eye. The earths core is belevedto be mix. Of iron and a nikle ,giving the earth its own magnetic feild.

  • Noah says:

The parts of a plant are the roots suck up all the water from the soil and the nutrients. The stem, The stem does many things. They support the plant.

One of them is a class on,so you get two flowers and put one in black food colouring and the other one in water. The second experiment is you choose your plant between No water,Nolight or No light. My kagan group is called Magnificent Marie Curie.Stevan hawking died at about 86.

  • Jacob says:

Magnets are objects that produce an area of magnetic field. They are invisible to human eye.Iron rings can be used to show magnetic fields. They are only attracted to metal.

  • Ethan says:

Magnetism is an invisible force. The two ends of a magnet are called the north and south poles. These are the parts where magnets are strongest.Around these poles is an area known as a magnetic field.

  • Amelia says:

    while its impossible to sum up hawking’s life in one word,it can be done with one equation;

    s=AKc 3

    S entropy
    h the planck constant
    G Newton’s constant
    A area of event horizon
    c speed of light
    k Boltzmann’s constant

The dangers of the sun are…if you look at the sun to much you can become blind. If you don’t put suncream on then you will get burnt. If you don’t drink enough water you will become dehydrated that means you will not have enough water in your body and you will have to go to the doctors or the hospital!

“What part do bee’s play in keeping us alive “
SIMPLY….bee’s keep plants and crops alive with
