List of online education resources for home education

These websites have been identified by some of the country’s leading educational experts and offer a wide range of support and resources for pupils of all ages.

SeeSaw

Years 1 – 6 all have access to this. You can upload home learning, view learning that your child has done in school and remember to look out for activities set by your class teacher. 

Numbots

All children can access Numbots. Log in is the same as purple mash. Numbots is a fun, interactive game that supports your child in practising their addition and subtraction skills.

Purple Mash

All children have access to Purple Mash and these have been sent home. Children can engage in a range of activities from across the curriculum. Class teachers also set tasks (2do’s) for the children to complete.

Oxford Owl

Oxford Owl is an online learning platform that can be used to support children with Reading in Key Stage 1. On this website there are a wide selection of books for children to read online, children should choose books that are at the same stage as their home school book. There are also questions and guidance to support parents reading with their child at home

Epic! is a Digital Library for Kids 12 & Under. Access 40,000 of the best books, learning videos, quizzes & more

Top Marks - Hit the Button

Topmarks is appropriate for all children from Reception through to Year 6. It provides a range of interactive games and learning links for many subjects across the curriculum.

Top Marks - Daily 10

Topmarks is appropriate for all children from Reception through to Year 6. It provides a range of interactive games and learning links for many subjects across the curriculum.

BBC Bitesize

BBC Bitesize is appropriate for all children from Reception through to Year 6. There are a range of interactive games and learning links for many subjects across the curriculum.

Read Theory

Read Theory is a powerful educational tool that offers online reading activities for all ages and ability levels. Children in year 4, 5 and 6 have log in details to this in their Reading Record. 

Times Table Rockstars

Children from Year 1 to 6 have log in details for Times Table Rockstars. This supports the children with quick recall of times tables and division facts. Children can compete either against themselves or each other. Look out for ‘Battles’ that are set between classes and house groups. You can also challenge your class teachers to a Times Table battle!

Learning by Questions

Learning by Questions is an online learning platform used in school to support Reading, Writing and Maths. This is used across Key Stage 2. When a task is set for your child to complete, a text will be sent home with a code to log on to this platform.

Phonics Play

Children in Reception and Key Stage 1 all have log in details to this website. Phonics Play has lots of interactive phonics games to support the children in learning their Phonics. 

Teach Your Monster to Read

This is an app to download that supports children in learning how to read. It covers everything from phonics to reading full sentences. Teach your Monster to Read is aimed at children in Reception and Year 1.

Number Fun Portal

Cosmic Yoga is yoga for kids, supporting children with mindfulness and relaxation in a fun way!

NCETM

These short videos are intended to provide primary school pupils with interactive lessons while they are at home.
