There is so much going on at the moment I am not sure where to start!

Years 5and 6 have performed their end of term show “The Pirates of the Currybean” which went down really well. They were superb, really professional and every single member of the cast and crew thoroughly enjoyed themselves which is essentially what it is all about. A very big “Thank you” to everyone involved.

The rounders team won their competition at Smithills School with Amelia binging back the “Player of the Tournament” Award – fabulous ambassadors for our school, well done everyone! We also sent a team to the Town Athletics event at Leverhulme Park where all the team did wonderfully well.

The team who went to Sharples to take part in a maths competition returned triumphant, another very enjoyable event.

Sports Day was a success, despite it being very hot. The weather always causes us lots of stress, wondering if it is going to rain/thunder/dry up in time, but again everyone had a lovely day. Thank you to everyone who came along to support their children and a very big thank you to those who returned their chairs to the rack. Moving a hundred chairs by myself isn’t the best buy klonopin online legally therapy for a bad back!

Lots of classes are getting involved in outdoor learning at present, making the most of the lovely weather and groups are out and about within the local community supporting various events that have been organised. A group were down at Asda last week getting involved with the press etc. If you see us on your travels do wave – the children love to see people they know when we are out.

The choir performed to their usual very high standard at the annual Music Service event at Victoria Halls in Bolton recently and last weekend they sang at the opening of the Community Garden Summer fayre. Thank you to everyone who supported both those events, we rely on mum and dad’s taxis so often!

Finally can I ask you all to support the Astley Bridge Summer Festival this next weekend – there are numerous events planned in various spots around the locality, something for everyone to get involved with I am sure. Congratulations to Maria for designing one of the winning posters!

I feel I might have missed some things out but there is still lots going on so I won’t sign off for this term just yet!
