Year 5+6 – Dodgeball

This week our Dodgeball Team from Year 5+6 have progressed through to the Greater Manchester finals! They will now represent Bolton after a superb performance, beating a number of other schools to progress in the tournament.

We all wish them good luck for the finals next week!

This week Year 6+5 have entertained us all with their fantastic production of Porridge. This amazing show by Craig Hawes is full of laughs and the children certainly milked the jokes! Or was that Marigold?

Porridge – When a crime wave hits Happy Valley, there’s a caseload of mysteries to be solved! Who’s stolen Ma Hubbard’s cow? What secret is Papa Bear hiding behind his porridge empire?

It’s down to private detective, Jack Spratt, to uncover the terrifying truth in this tale of mystery, mayhem and breakfast cereal!

The Oaks Radio at Bolton FM

Katie, Tom K and Daniel from Year 5 spent the morning at Bolton FM Radio Station. The children were recording their first show for The Oaks Radio.
It was a fantastic morning, the children learnt so much. They were interviewed live on air, given a tour of the studios and were shown how to record their own radio show. The children will be broadcasting their show for the whole school.

Christmas Carols and Concerts – The Oaks Choir

The Oaks School Choir have been very busy this week with two outstanding performances on Monday and Tuesday night.

Their performance at Bolton Wanderers Carol Service was very exciting as they got to sing with 100 other children from across Bolton. The Bridgewater Hall concert was in aid of CLIC Sargent and they performed as guest school choir to 1200 people! The choir had their own dressing room and got to perform all on their order klonopin online canada own. The children were very professional and sang beautifully, even making Mr Hampson cry!

The Oaks School Choir look forward to singing at other events in the New Year. Mr Hampson would like to say a BIG thankyou to all parents, carers, grandparents and friends for all their support during our busy Christmas season and wishes you all a very Merry Chirstmas and Happy New Year!
